ELMORE, Homer

Source: Greencastle Herald, 5 April 1907 p 1

Homer Elmore, formerly of Stilesville and well known in Eastern Putnam, committed suicide on Thursday evening by drinking a quantity of carbolic acid. He lived but a short time after taking the drug. Elmore was a traveling salesman and made his home with his wife and family at Clayton. His age was about 40 years. The cause of this rash act is not definitely know, but the general opinion seems to be that he was despondent and tired of life.  - kbz
